Cats Comfortable in their Kennels

Does my cat need regular health checks?

Has your cat been to a vet lately? While many cats do not make it to the vet every year for a check up, it is just as important as it is for dogs that this is done. Have a look at this post to learn more about it!

Cats are the most popular pet in Canada and yet studies show that the number of visits to the vet has been declining each year. Cats do need regular veterinary care (including annual exams) just like dogs do. They are masters at hiding signs of illness and regular exams are very important to diagnose health problems early on.

If your cat does not feel well, he/she may withdraw rather than complain. This change may be so gradual that you might not notice a change or attribute it to your cats natural aging process.

Preventing health problems is much better for your pet than treating illnesses, and catching problems early on gives us the best chance at giving you options for treatment when needed.

Do you do check ups on unregistered cats? My family has just rescued a stray, and we think she might be pregnant, and we are not even sure of her age. How much would a check up cost?
